A very lonely place

Skies darker than the usual, Clouds seem to have lost its beauty, It’s shape, Stars no longer twinkle in the night sky, Even the moon doesn’t shine, Bright enough for the passerby, Lakes seem to empty each passing time, Desert sun is but a hopeless battlefield, With each life it effortlessly takes, She’s been in a very lonely place, And she wonders at night, If he can hear her cry, She’s done some things, And said some words, But absolutely regrets, At night when the world is asleep, She lays awake, wishing he we’re there, During the day when world’s are awake, She slips into a daydream, Wishing him by her side, She wonders if she, Would ever get to hold his hand, She wonders if she, Would ever get to see his face, She wonders if she, Would ever get to feel his skin, She wonders if she, Would ever get to kiss his lips, She wonders if she, Would ever get to talk to him again, She’s been in a very lonely place, She’s been in a very empty space, Emptier than the endless abyss, Lonelier than a single rose in a garden of thorns, She remembers him with each passing day, Every moment, every minute of every hour, She wishes to let him know, How much he means to her, Though wishes can only go, As far as travel in the wind, She prays to still reach, His ever unreachable self, She’s been in a very lonely place, Wishing that he would come back, To take her hand, To tell her that it will all be alright, To make her feel safe again, And to tell her that he will always be by her side, She’s been in a very lonely place, Like an abandoned child, Weeping intensely in some dark alley, Like the lotus flower deprived of any sunlight, She’s been in a very lonely place, Like a song without it’s tune, Like a wedding without a groom, She’s been in a very lonely place, And though she’s called out his name, He will never truly hear it, She’s been in a very lonely place, And no one can help her, She needs him to come and save her, Save her from this very lonely place …
